"​KATHLEEN LEARY"
12X12X1.5 INCHES | 1/4" MODERN BIRCH FRAME

Kathleen Leary was a mother of four and a grandmother. Winnipeg Police found her suffering from injuries to her upper body in her Winnipeg home on May 19, 2015. ​The 66-year-old later died of her injuries. On May 21, 2015, Winnipeg Police charged a youth, known to the victim, with second-degree murder. The charge was later upgraded to first-degree murder. Leary is from the Norway House Cree Nation and recently worked as the reserve's executive director of health services.
